It’ll be more than a refurb, I suspect they’ll be digging down a fair few feet to put the under soil heating in place …. Then there’s the small issue of that cherry picker re sound system replacement. Blimey I reckon your looking at several £m’s to do just those two things aren’t you !

A new pitch on 19:52 - Nov 8 with 1342 views | IpswichKnight | Here is Mike O’Learys answer to a question around the pitch O'Leary: We had a meeting this morning with architects. We need to punch a hole in one of the corners to get access. We need to get planning position. There's a very high voltage cable that feeds the floodlights to deal with. There's drainage to consider, because the new pitches drain considerably quicker. We're looking at a suitable place for a big screen. The dugouts are too close. It's possible we won't get all of this done in the close season of May/June next year, but at the moment that's our goal.

The League One play offs being a week earlier could help and I suppose they can request the first match of next season to be away.
