It was I. And yet you still refuse to answer my question about your new Passat.

True. I can only recall one of my colleagues being repeatedly raped for hours and then murdered.

You should get a Skoda Octavia, not a Passat.

I admire your brand loyalty to the Skoda Octavia, but Oldboy's refusal to give me a review of his new Passat is troubling me. Though, of course, as any true socialist, I only take public transport.

I am not claiming that the Passat is better, but for me the cabin wasn't as nice.
Suffolk's firefighters to the rescue again on 18:59 - Nov 17 with 1471 views | eireblue | Hmmmm, that is near the BSE recycling centre. It is an unusual place to walk. Do we know anybody that travels to that facility frequently? I am thinking there could be a bigger story here, could someone be trying to downplay this, to pre-emptively distract TWTD inquiring minds putting 2 and 2 together and realising that someone is playing the Squid Game version of stick in the mud.

Then perhaps there is an expectation you would be less flippant about others who may come into harms way as part of their job?

I'll bear that in mind when highlighting the mediocrity of local news reporting in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

I'm probably missing something, but what have the firefighters done wrong here? Someone got into some difficulty and they were sent to assist. Isn't that the way of things? [Post edited 17 Nov 2021 23:35]

Look we have to be careful here. You know how some people are with their Social media lawyers. Woman who got herself stuck? On Compiegne Way? Really? Nobody wakes up in BSE of a morning and thinks, you know what I fancy a stroll down there to have a look at the cars driving between the A143 and A134. And note, the reporting didn’t even have a stock photo of a fire engine, just a Google pic. If a horse, just decides to wander into a ditch, and stay for a while, not because it is stuck, just because it likes it there, but the owner wants it out, and calls the fire service, you get the full stock image photo coverage. Clearly someone is trying to down play the story. All I am saying is, if I wanted to go around sticking people in the mud, creating an elaborate cover story over a period of time of regularly taking loads to the local re-cycling centre, would definitely help explain the presence of, say a Skoda Octavia, which seems to be carrying something bulky, at around the same time people get found having been stuck in some mud. You won’t see any of that in the press, for some reason, I am not sure who is responsible, but the press seem wary of picking up and running with these stories from TWTD.

Thinking back about 30 years, whoever would have thought we we be talking about brand loyalty of Skoda??? As I recall, Mick Mills drives a Passat, I’m sure Frank would be happy to ask for a review on your behalf. (I can actually hear them two discussing this…)

My take and I might be wrong, is that the OP doesn't think it is news. Poor journalism. Quite day in the office.

Not a discerning gentleman who knows anything about cars. The Octavia is built on the Golf platform, not the Passat's. If anything it's a budget-conscious Jetta.

It's ok. I recently brought a Passat and the other fella thinks I should have brought the Octavia. I think the cabin of the Passat is better, that's all. Nothing to worry about.

That's because he burned them before with the potholes shenanigans. I dread to think what monstrous acts that was all a smokescreen for! It's straight out of the Doninic Cummings playbook: feed untrue stories to the press to discredit them, then no one will believe them when they try and expose the evil masterplan.

And how are you finding the Passat? Roomy? Good driving position? Road holding? Equipment levels? Asking for a friend.
