Just got home. Cooked 72 meals today, everything went out OK but ***k me that was hard. The pot washer didn't show up so ended up doing 2 hours of washing-up after I had sent the last meals out.
Have an uppie for washing up. Always the worst bit, and that’s just at home. Glad it went well. Must be good to be busy after the ‘fun’ of the last 20 months.

New Year’s Eve will mark 20 years since my last shift as a Head Chef in the hotel industry. I worked many Christmas’s and I know exactly how you’re feeling now - exhausted, glad it’s over, and relaxing after a really hard day!
Well done to you - I don’t imagine that the staff shortages in the industry are making it any easier for you!
