Inspired by a guy years ago who I saw at a Swindon away game driving a silver Mercedes with the reg plate A1TFC , I waited years for Town plates to come up at DVLA. Bid for S81TFC but it got to silly money. DEV1L reached nearly half a million. Decided to go for this plate, lots of thumbs up driving the A12, A14 even the A47, maybe not in Norwich though….

That's the sort of response I'd expect by someone with a personalised number plate. |
I don't see it so much as a personalised / vanity plate, for that I could have done what Mick Mills has or Simon Milton with M1LTS.
As the plate is Town related, I see it as a small means to help get ITFC out there, every little helps, not unlike having a Town badge on the rear screen. Having been a Town fan for 51 years, I still hold a deep passion for the club and it's just another way of displaying it. | | | |

the cost of something or value is of course relative. For what I paid I think it was an absolute bargain, others might have thought it too much to pay. S8ITFC the original I had in mind climbed very quickly to £1700 (inc fees) at auction. no way was I prepared to pay anything like that but someone did, probably a Town fan. Likewise DEV1L went for nearly half a million, probably now sitting on a Lamborghini Diablo. Even plates with no real associations except to an individual went for silly prices £2000 plus.

I had an ITFC sticker in my rear window before, parked in Norfolk in a very rural area, and woke up to my car keyed right down the side, deep. Needed new panels. Just be wary, people can be knobs. | | | |
