Good point. In the attached, none of your four are mentioned. Knott, a peer of Marsh, had a better test batting average.

Marsh initially played for Western Australia as a specialist batsman & was first picked for Australia largely because of his batting & was quickly nicknamed "Iron gloves" after some sloppy work behind the stumps. However, he worked on his keeping & improved dramatically, rather like Matt Prior. | |
