With Plymouth, Sunderland, Oxford and Wednesday all ahead. The standard is completely relentless.

There are still games left. Need to lose none of the matches against Portsmouth, Plymouth and Oxford and hopefully win one or two of them. Then it is most important to win the games against the teams below us.

Even then it'll be tight though... out of the 6 other teams near us, only 1 is dropping points each week on average.

They will drop points. If they all carry on winning most weeks, 6th will be on 80+ points. Someone will finish 6th with no more than 75 points. Teams will slip up.

Yeah but we need to make up 8 points now so can't afford to drop any points really.

If 6th is to finish on 75 points, then we need 15-16 from 8 matches (which is the form we have had under McKenna so far).

We have 2 fixtures against play-off rivals. Win one and draw one, or win both and the picture even in the short term is more positive. We really can't afford to lose either of them but we need to win most of the other matches.

I wanted 6 points from today and those next 2 fixtures. that's now impossible so I'l have to settle for 7.

I think it will be at least 78 points needed for 6th place this season - possibly 80/81. Think we need to win 7 of our remaining 8 games to make it.
