Terrific article here about the Pet Shop Boys. Hands down the best ever synth pop duo. No ifs, no buts.

Neil Tennant is the Morrissey it's OK not to hate and Chris Lowe could easily go to-to-toe with his fellow genius, Vince Clark.

PSB are fantastic. Seen 'em live a few times and they come across really well for an electronic group which can be hard to pull off.

I always found their music dull as dishwater.

Talking of Vince Clarke, I’d put Yazoo way above them for quality if not quantity.

Surely it's as dull as ditch water?

Indeed it is!

It’s one of those eggcorns I seem to have picked up. But I’m not the sort of pre-Madonna who won’t admit it.

Massively overrated band in my opinion.

A handful of classics, padded out by stock aitken and waterman style cabaret pop.

For two old blokes who stand still and look miserable a lot, they sure as hell know how to put on a show.

Indeed! They do a really good job of mixing the classics in with new material as well. Can't stand it when a group insists on just playing their latest album or what have you.

Also, the greatest electronic duo of all time is Chris and Cosey, much as I love PSB.
