Mr Offside 22:22 - Apr 19 with 1234 views | OwainG1992 | Is it Bonne's fault he's offside so much or is it the team? I swear I've never known a striker as bad for it. Garner would get caught a fair bit. In contrast Daryl Murphy would seem to keep himself on well. Can we get a prime Murphy for next season? [Post edited 19 Apr 2022 22:29]

Mr Offside on 22:25 - Apr 19 with 1198 views | jayessess | Twice today I think? One was unavoidable (he pressed their keeper and then we won the first header, no real chance to get back on). The other was two blocked shots in quick succession, presumably he chased the first one. Did well today, when he went off we missed his hold up play.

If you only focus on the ones given then yes two. However if you watch the amount of times he strays offside very early when wolf and others have the ball when stepping out of defence. Limits our options going forward so many times.

The problem is caused by something he's good at though.... chasing keepers down. He does however then even up offside as we win the ball from a long kick and we break with speed and he's barely made it back to the defensive line. That's not saying he doesn't move into offside positions himself either. But the high press on the keeper certainly causes alot of it.

It’s also incredible how he constantly runs behind the defender and gives no angle for a pass or cross. He did it again for Wolf on Saturday and again today. Kane and any striker for that matter mix up going to the back post, front post and stopping their run for a cut back. Bonne runs behind the defender every time so the ball can’t reach him and from there often beyond the defender so he’s offside. Really poor stuff intelligence wise.

Is chasing keepers down something worth being good at?
