Kenos random season end musings 09:28 - Apr 24 with 613 views | Keno | After the start to season and with the form of the top teams getting anywhere near the playoffs was always a big ask, especially as we don’t seem to have a striker But, despite all the seemingly unending pessimism, the positives far outweigh the negatives not least that we have a good, albeit headless, spine to the team. Yes we need a decent left sided “wes burns” and at least 2 strikers and we may now have the resources to secure them. The preseason with McKenna will be key and I think it will be really interesting to see how we line up next season both in terms of personnel and formation And actually maybe having that preseason at this level will give mck the chance to build a better, stronger team ready to face the championship, So good bye 21/22 hello bright blue future And just think this time in 12 months after we get promoted and them up the road get a second relegation on the trot we will be a league above them and the natural order of the universe will be restored COYBs!,

Kenos random season end musings on 09:50 - Apr 24 with 557 views | ElephantintheRoom | Toeing the party line like one of Johnson’s shameless junior ministers. Yes Town are just a couple of good additions from being a very good team at this level - perhaps. BUT they gifted Wigan promotion with Will Keane, kept Norwood (a 30 goal a season striker), a greyhound with dodgy hamstrings, bought a 20 goal a season striker- and borrowed yet another one who was half way to 20 before McKenna worked his magic on him. And can’t score goals. I put it to you that snaffling or borrowing other club’s’ strikers might not solve what appears a deep rooted problem. I’m fairly sure expecting another left sided attacker to appear might be a bit of a mirage too. Robson used to solve that dilemma by getting Woods or Lambert to switch wings - I’m sure we can call that ‘zonal recycling’ and give it a try. To your wish list I’d add considerably less than five loans please

Kenos random season end musings on 10:22 - Apr 24 with 487 views | FrimleyBlue | The only concerning thing is how many times over the years have we said we only need a couple of additions. It's something that was being said when magilton left.

Didn't Keane say something like 'any idiot could get out of the championship' seems like Lambert was that idiot [Post edited 24 Apr 2022 10:42]
