Yes Town are just a couple of good additions from being a very good team at this level - perhaps. BUT they gifted Wigan promotion with Will Keane, kept Norwood (a 30 goal a season striker), a greyhound with dodgy hamstrings, bought a 20 goal a season striker- and borrowed yet another one who was half way to 20 before McKenna worked his magic on him. And can’t score goals.
I put it to you that snaffling or borrowing other club’s’ strikers might not solve what appears a deep rooted problem.
I’m fairly sure expecting another left sided attacker to appear might be a bit of a mirage too. Robson used to solve that dilemma by getting Woods or Lambert to switch wings - I’m sure we can call that ‘zonal recycling’ and give it a try.
