Well if you refer to the Loughborough Univeristuy study, that states that there has been a small drop in the number of children in poverty when measured across the whole of the UK:

In one year (as we’ve come out of covid). Same study mentions a 7% increase for the same region since 2010/11, also the reversal of good progress made to mid 2000s nationally. Irrespective of selected comparisons, it’s nowhere near good enough.
