António Guterres has been speaking well at the UN, but unfortunately that's one toothless tiger. Can't see the Kamala Harris has what it takes, but maybe that's just because the VP has to quiet? Any other potential saviours that could get the ticket? I realise that the system is well and truly stacked against actual change (see Obama) but perhaps there's a way for a brave, dynamic and selfless candidate?

Pete Buttigieg - He would be so much better, but the US is so backward he would't stand a chance in getting elected.

Sadly I think that this is true. on 14:25 - Jul 26 with 832 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | The next President will be Trump or whoever he endorses, so i imagine Ron De Santis, neither are any good for the climate. No talent really anywhere. Mayor Pete is certainly a shout, but i dont think he has the support to win an election. Harris is awful. Gavin Newsom perhaps has a chance. Then you have the left, AOC, Abrams, Omar. Bernie disciples. All would propose change, big players in the green new deal, but 0 chnace of American electing anyone tied to Bernie. The one to really watch is Jon Ossoff. Senator for Georgia, winning in that marginal last year. He was a journalist by trade, bags of charisma, appeals to the youth, but also had a lot of support with middle class suburban women, who dont like Trump politics. He would definitely symbolise a change, but i would imagine the next election may come too soon. He is definitely worth watching/reading up on. [Post edited 26 Jul 2022 14:27]
