A question on the Arsenal documentary 13:07 - Aug 19 with 1949 viewsIllinoisblue

One thing that puzzles me is how quiet the dressing room is at half time and full time. Don’t know if that’s normal or the players are behaving differently because they know the cameras are there. Aside from Ramsdale or Xhaka, nobody says a word. It’s very odd.

Really pleased with the response. And had some useful feedback from TWTDers.

Episode One was very interesting.

But I found that episode two felt like a repeat of the same issues.

Only saw second half of 'Football Dreams' last night, but going by that, agree with you. I'd have liked it to be broader, less focussed on individuals - eg how many hours do the scholars spend there, do they do any academic work there, do they eat there (& if so, are their diets individually tailored?), what's their timetable, are they expected to do fitness stuff or practice at home? etc.

What's the Arsenal docu?

Put it this way, you wouldn't want Odegaard as a captain, they guy doesn't say a word.

What's funny is Arteta shouting at Tavares saying "Do you want to play champions league football next season or not!"

Tavares is now at Marseille, playing CL football.

All of Nothing. Series. They’ve done Man City and Spurs previously. It’s quite interesting.

I know it’s a lazy comparison but to see the leaders and strong men Arsenal once had - Adams, Viera, Campbell, etc, this current bunch is so different. I get it’s a young squad but the dressing room scenes really surprised me, even allowing for editing.

And yes, lol at Tavares. My hunch is missing out on CL will actually help them this year.

Maybe now with Jesus and Zinchenko they might have a few more voices, but was really surprised how meek they all were, you could see why they capitulated against Spurs and Newcastle.

Even when Arteta asked them questions, it was just silent, I'd hope we have a far more vociferous changing room.

Probably too busy trying not to laugh at Arteta's David Brent style team talks.

I've found Arteta to be a really nice guy and a good professional but find his talks VERY cringeworthy.

I still much prefer the ‘Sunderland til I die’ ones. Far more involved and gritty.

It's on Amazon Prime..

Most of the players are just in their own thoughts I think Illi, obviously you'll get the few vocal ones who will show their feelings, probably just waiting for the Manager too..

I like it when he swears. Sounds good in his accent. And yes very Brentish at times. The time he brought a whiteboard into the dressing room and wrote down journey and destination…. Facking hell.
