As a journo I think poorly of people unlocking (ie stealing) paid for stories and I am disappointed if Phil or Gav let that stand. No different from nicking stuff from a shop and handing it out to your mates. Looking at the number of views it got, that's £3793 potential losses to The Athletic. |  | | |

Not sure why you are getting down votes for this. I’m a journalist too and the company I work for produces paid for articles similar to the Athletic but different subject matter. Subscriptions ultimately pay my salary and so I’d be out of a job pretty soon if people were able to unlock our product for free. Clearly the down voters are happy for people to come to their workplace and take for free. | | | |
