I don't believe in God but let him save her now.

Well-wishers gather outside Balmoral Castle
Dozens of well-wishers have gathered outside the gates of Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire.

Police officers stand guard of the gates of the driveway leading up to the Castle where the Queen is being joined by members of her family.

Buckingham Palace said in its statement that the Queen was at the castle and was "comfortable" .

What does that actually do - why do people go to gather around outside? They're not able to 'wish her well' are they? Does actually being there make any difference, other than cause congestion presumably'?

Unless they've nipped off for a bit because there'd been reports of a rather horrific RTA nearby, and they wanted to go and have a look and get some photos there too...

Bored people wanting to associate or align themselves with a significant event to alleviate said boredom. Probably the same folk who opened their front door, stepped outside and clapped thin air in support of the NHS during the pandemic; equal as useless.

At the risk of sounding heartless, 'saving' frail 96 year old ladies has the high potential of only causing pain, indignity and distress to all parties concerned. Probably best to wish that He grants her enough time for all her family to say goodbye and she goes with comfort and dignity.

You may have point re: people clapping the NHS being bored and useless.

Bloody hell, a bit of perspective would be good.
She's 96.
Tone down the drama.

He doesn't bother his arse with starving children, he's probably not going to bother with a frail 96 year old lady.

Useless?! I thought the staff had been cashing in those claps for food. I’d have just done air claps if I’d have know they had no value!

I don’t think Liz needs devine intervention. She’s had a very full and meaningful life, and has got to see loads of the world in the process. A pretty good innings. I know it’s not a competition, but Marcus Stewart’s diagnosis is far more depressing imo.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
