Im a magnus upper block Q season ticket holder with the mrs and kids. In the second half yesterday i got hit on the side of the head by which i think was a coin. It bloody hurt and really pissed me off. What sort of C-unit thinks throwing coins or any missile in a crowd is a good idea? Have heard rumours that pompey fans had tickets in home sections although none made themselves known by cheering their goals. Probably should have reported it to a steward but thought whats the point. |  | | |  |

Sorry to hear this. Town fans are generally a good bunch, I think we'd all agree. But it's not impossible that there is the odd bad apple or two. I would be slow to assume that it's someone who happens to support a different team, especially if it's in the home section.
I would think there should be a consensus on here against coin/missile throwing, but when there was a polite suggestion on here that we don't engage in hit (following the bad example at Wednesday), it got down-voted, seemingly on the basis that Town fans couldn't possibly be capable of such behaviour.
Well done for bringing it up on here. Telling a steward is a pain to have to do, and as you say, there would have been little more than a shrug given the difficulty in identification and the fact that you weren't seriously hurt. |  | | |

It was downvoted because the implication was that it needed saying and it was not something Town fans have done.
The OP should have reported the incident to a steward and from the time stamp of when and where he was sat, any CCTV that covered that area of the ground would easily identify exactly where the missile came from. |  |

Should have reported it but was enjoying the game. Also not so sure how easily a small object could be seen on cctv in a big crowd. Unless the person throwing was clearly obvious i doubt anything would have come from it. Just annoyed stuff like this happens in a family block. | | | |
