Just heard phone-in debate on Nicky Campbell. Such profound contributions from the public:

"I'd like to see him (Johnson) back. He is good comedy value"

"He (Johnson) connects with working people. He understands us and we like to have our tummies tickled."

"Bring back Nigel! We've still got immigrants."

"I'd sooner go cold / hungry than be in the EU" (Paraphrasing zenophobic rubbish)

I was in the car listening to that phone-in and I wish I could say that I didn’t believe what I was listening to. But ever since 2016 the lunatics have been in charge but unfortunately they never take responsibility for anything.

I felt sorry for the presenter who just wanted to leave his show early and didn’t try to hid that fact either.

Yeah I thought Campbell meant it and i felt sorry for him too. (He will probably now be called a "lefty snowflake") I only heard the last ten minutes or so and fortunately the lady who called just before the end was a calm voice of reason.

I must admit, the day after the Brexit vote was a totally surreal performance

I can remember cycling to work and looking around thinking who are they lol, who are the morons who have done this to us

So far, you have to say, project fear is turning into reality, who'd think it

I haven't followed the news today but it doesn't surprise me the Tories may have had a collective think and thought, let's just roll the dice with Boris, it's our only chance

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

More sinister than that.
The whole Truss nonsense in my view was a Rees Mogg / Dorries plan to create a sh!tshow.
This now makes all Johnsons indiscretions look palatable.

Crazy Crazy and quite possibly dangerous times!!

Heard on Radio Suffolk earlier:

"So who do you want to be the new PM?"
"Oh, I dunno really."
"How about a General Election?"
"That won't solve anything."

I realise that giving everybody a voice is important in a democratic society, but they seem to pick out half-wits most of the time, and I find it thoroughly depressing.

I try to console myself with two thoughts;

1. People with constructive things to do during the day don't phone into radio shows (they post on TWTD!).

2. People with agendas have teams of people willing to phone such shows to skew the perceived stance of the public.

I'm wondering if the UK is broken and beyond being fixed.

It's not totally implausible, never in a million years should she have been made leader

Then they have ruined the economy, she didn't even look sad when she resigned did she but then again you do wonder how much funding they get from dodgy sources, Kwarsi having drinks with people after the budget for example

That's a really bad look!
