Agree with all those saying Jackson was MOTM, thought he was excellent, made the goal, gutted he missed the penalty - you could see how much his teammates wanted him to score it.

Finally a win in front of the cameras too.

Don't think he was excellent, was ok, most of his good play was just being fast. He missed an open goal as well. Donacien was man of the match for me.

Burns for me had one of his most effective games this season. Beat his man several times to get the ball over. A lot of the time this season he’s relied on the overlap.

Morsy was great too, snapping away in midfield and bringing the ball forwards quickly.

Agreed. Areal shame he missed the pen as he would have deserved a goal. he contributed to the win as much as any so you can't really argue with MOTM.

Those moaning about him taking the pen, well Chaplin and Evans were both off the pitch, i didn't really see anyone else demanding it.

It was a crap pen, but such is life, he should have scored the winning goal, but still made it, and not like any of our other forwards are ripping it up so get behind him!

You'd think Morsy could take a decent pen.

Wasn't filled with confidence seeing KJ step... not the worst peno I've seen but not enough power and a good height for the keeper. Surely Burns would be worth a shout?

Thought Jackson as very good tonight

JD for me has been a little off it lately with his passing / distribution. Defensively still pretty solid but in an attacking sense not as strong as last season either but perhaps we’re playing differently or he’s being pinned back more

You would, but as captain if he fancied it he'd be demanding it, especially with first choice takers off the pitch. Strange one really.

Could just be something like Jacko nails them in training but just didn't come off for him.

Norwood missed 3 pens for us and clearly he was our designated pen taker then. Think Chappers has missed two for us and he is supposedly the best finisher in the club.

Its annoying that pen taking seems to be a curse in similar way to the Sky one (that can feck off tonight), especially as we are actually getting given them but don't understand the OTT grief given to Jackson, especially as it didn't even impact the result. Fortunately both missed pens this season hasn't cost us. Chaplin didn't get the same grief Jackson has after his miss???

JD got to the point where he could do anything. He was skinning his markers, and passing the ball millimetres past players consistently in really tight situations. It's just not quite coming off now, and his confidence has taken a little hit imo. He just needs to give himself a little bit more space to work in again, I think.

I too didn’t think JD had the best of games by his high standard. Was absolutely fine from a defensive point of view but struggled on the ball with his passing. Was also obviously carrying an injury towards the end.

Seemed to me like a number of players were just a bit off it tonight. Donacien had some good spells and like others at times tried to play long which handed possession away.

Love how he plays with a smile throughout the game though. Whether after that super dodgy backpass to Walton or having a chat with supporters during throw ins.

Still quality though. The problem is he himself has set a very high bar

Love the bloke

I think JDs form dipped after a couple of games where he was liked a bearded Cafu. I agree he has now set himself a very high bar and def not his best performance against Lincoln but today he was fine. Sure he has had better games but don't think anything particularly bad in his performance.

Still one of the most likeable footballers to currently set foot on the Portman Road turf
