Putting this out there before I log off for the day... 17:47 - Oct 29 with 2887 views | Kropotkin123 | 1. Problem tonight wasn't the defenders error, as it has been in other games. 2. Ball was clearly injured/had a knock and should have been taken off for Humphreys. 3. Bringing Keogh on late doesn't work. He is too slow and feels like we lose presence elsewhere, with little gain. 4. Harness isn't a player to close out the game. It would have been better to drop TJJ into the the forward position. His ball retention is the weakest of our forwards. 5. Burns was clearly tiring from the 65th minute and we needed pace. Kane Vincent-Young could have provided a more defensive option, keeping the shape. 6. We need to stop panicking when defending a lead. Calm down, slow the play, and take less risks. 7. Walton likely won't have a worse game than this all season.

I remember one other error at Sunderland, that's about it. Excellent keeper, but had a shocker this afternoon. Edit : the point being he absolutely gets a pass. [Post edited 29 Oct 2022 17:53]

Put 10 men behind the ball and close the game out. Teams do it to us at Portman Road, so why don’t we do it?

We don’t seem capable of doing that. We have a soft underbelly……. Ten player just seem to get in each other’s way.

He's had 4 substitute apps. 2 where we changed shape. In those 2 games we conceded 3 across ~20'. Details - Sheff Wed: 81', on for Jackson. Conceded on 89'. - Derby: 96', on for Donacien. Game was over within seconds. - Port Vale: 75', on for Edmundson. Saw it out, but a straight swap. I personally didn't think it was a settling manoeuvre. Happy to agree to disagree, if people disagree. - Charlton: 91', on for Burns. Scored 1, conceded 2. A strong argument can be made for correlation vs causation. Clearly he wasn't directly responsible for the goals, but I think the negatives that come with the change of shape and his slower pace outweigh any positives he brings, anecdotally speaking.
