Minimim 6 mknutes every game 18:06 - Oct 30 with 1187 viewshunty21

We seem to be having a minimim of 6 minutes added on every game likely cos of using all our sibs before 90 perhaps we need to use less to reduce time added on is that cos of high intesity style of play

Stoppage time precisely that. It's time added on for stoppages. So we still play the same amount of time.

No extra playing time actually takes place.

The 6 mins + time added on is more due to time wasting sh!thousary than subs (admittedly some of that sh!thousary is when the subs are being made).

In a way excessive 10man goal celebrations are a form of sh!thousery.

30 seconds per sub...plus time for injuries etc.

Standard fare.

It's a completely arbitrary number.

When the boards held by the 4th official were introduced I'm sure it was normal for 2 or 3 minutes of stoppage time - now it's more likely at least 6 or more. While there are more subs now there are still only a maximum of 3 stoppages.

It's also noticeable that there is more stoppage time in close games - if a team is winning 5-0 or 6-0 (Doncaster & Northampton at home spring to mind) there is virtually no added time. Why is that? There will have been the normal stoppages for subs and goals so why not 6+ minutes?

Regardless, we should be good enough to see out a 2 goal lead regardless of whether there is half an hour to go or 3 minutes.

Added-on time is a chance for us to score more goals - as we did even yesterday.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

If anything, they're just being more realistic this season.
