Typical nervy cup game really isn't it.
Surprised 2 of our most experienced players look more lost than the others. Been watching Ball for the final 5 minutes and he just floats around like Douglas. Not offering opportunities for the pass. Then moans when we ignore him..then when he does get it.. he gives it straight to them. Think I'd rather see Humphreys next to Morsy.
Keough.. for someone so experienced. He's had to make up for some really terrible decision making. On the ball and off it he just looks like an aged cb. Credit to some of his headers though.
Positives. We had some openings. We must possibly be one of the worst at scoring from overlapping runs this season.. how many times to balls get drilled in and we just dont finish them off.
An ok atmosphere. Not quite as bouncy as I thought it would be. Seems like there's a lot if non league fans here rather than town or bracknell fans. It's bizarre.
Anyways. Think Burns. Chaplin will have to make the difference here.

His distribution has been very poor though.
For us, the forward distribution is actually more important than sticking your head on everything, especially as they are just throwing it to the space where he is standing with nobody around him.

I'm yet to be convinced by Ball in a Town shirt, which is a shame as I was quite pleased by his signing. Just doesn't seem with it.

Someone compared Keogh to a boxer in his twilight years a couple of weeks back. Still capable, can do the job, but starting to look a little battle worn.

This is true but we have looked very suspect at defending balls into the box all season with the regular CBs on the pitch. A bit of a balancing act because you would expect their only chance of scoring would be that avenue and we should have more than enough in other areas to create chances ourselves. | | | |
