Brexit - the grift that keeps on taking 14:27 - Dec 21 with 1629 viewsHARRY10

"Britain’s GDP was 5.5% smaller by the second quarter of this year than it would have been without Brexit, a thinktank claims.

In his analysis for the Centre for European Reform, John Springford also says that almost all the tax increases announced by Rishi Sunak when he was chancellor in March would not have been needed if the UK had enjoyed the extra tax revenue it would have got from higher growth if it had stayed in the EU."

"“Brexit has clearly had a significant impact on the economy,” said John Springford, “There has been a sizeable hit on trade and investment.”

"The UK’s goods trade is 7 per cent lower and investment is 11 per cent lower than it would have been had the Remain campaign won the 2016 Brexit referendum"

By the end of 2021 the British economy was 5.2 per cent smaller than if the country had not left the EU, a loss of around £31bn. By June 2022, the second quarter of the year, the UK’s GDP was 5.5 per cent smaller than if Brexit had not happened, a loss of £33bn

The disturbing point to note there it is the opposite of the lie peddled - the UK economy is actually shrinking, as is inward investment. And far from there being new deals all that has happened is the UK have kept former EU deals (69), now having no say in them.

More worrying is the number of cranks/righties who still think a UK retreating from the world stage is a good thing.

Of course people should be able to post their point of views but it was a genuine question.

If you look at a few peoples posts, it's a year of starting these threads and very little else, even at half time the other Saturday! Tory corruption / Brexit / Guardian article, on repeat I often wonder who they're shouting at or trying to convince on here! Get involved in local Politics, vote, join a discussion group/cult, have a drink! :)

The majority of brexiteers were either retired or lemmings and neither of these have been affected.

"even at half time the other Saturday! Tory corruption / Brexit / Guardian article"]/i]

really, who was that, certainly not me.

Posting up new news, is not on repeat either. As the link below ihighlights.

The current problems with the NHS are in no small way down to brexit - medical staff shortage, and now medicine shortage. And against the deluge of the rightwing medias lies about the NHS it is important to challenge and rebut those.

Some folk will not like having it told they have caused massive harm to the country. That the reason ambulances are stuck looking after patients for an hour or more is a direct result of their vote

Usually the actions of stupid people only impact on them. This is not the case here. It is all of us that are being put at risk, and are suffering the effects, which continue to worsen by the day (see link)

Not being the brightest it would seem, you may have overlooked where you are reading this. And it is often the bleat from those unable to reply to an argument that they accuse the OP of somehow'missing out', yet fail to explain why they get so over exited about posts from such a person, even to the point of replying.

Why not do what I and most others do. If you see a thread title that does not interest, then don't open it. It really is that simple. Honest.

All you ever seem to do is attack people on the occasions you log on.

Why is your only use for the site to log on and be unpleasant to people you've never met?
