At my workplace they launched a new website years ago and it ended in .co.uk but unbeknown to them there was another site with an identical name ending in .com that was a pornsite.
At the official launch with all the senior management team present, one of my colleagues typed in .com URL by mistake and it came up on the massive video wall for everyone to see. I’ve never seen anyone go red quite as quickly as he did. |  |

Anyway genuinely she was told about a site called Doggy Style - you know the rest

If that's the one I'm thinking of (it may not be) it was because the company had undertaken a rebranding without securing the domain names in advance. An IT contractor cottoned on, bought the .com domain and tried to sell it to the company. When they refused to take him up on his "kind offer" he set up the porn site in revenge. |  | | |
