There really should be something in medical professionals contracts that states that should they be forced to leave work due to catching and illness as a result of their job, they are paid a full wage.

There really should be something in medical professionals contracts that states that should they be forced to leave work due to catching and illness as a result of their job, they are paid a full wage.


Given that a lot of these were likely a consequence of under-sourced or substandard PPE there's probably a case for industrial injuries claims as well.

In the community NHS staff had no PPE as it was all diverted to hospitals, it must have been really scary going into peoples homes with only home made masks for protection!
