McAnthony suggesting they can only sign more players today if a high valued asset leaves....

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

I wondered if we had moved on? Luongo played very well on Saturday when he came on.
MacAnthony might be fishing for another bid.

There figure is inflated of him it seems.

Suggest we don't need him anymore.

With Morsy, Evans, Luongo and Humphreys until the end of the season, I don't see any need in spending that sort of figure on him - maybe something we look at again in the summer, but at that point Ball and Camara will be back.

Agree regarding Luongo - looked very tidy.

A player will huge Championship experience and international - so no real surprise - looks smarter business to me right now to have Luongo on a free than a seven figure fee for Taylor.

That's precisely what's happening.

He came back to the negotiating table a few days ago after our last offer (circa 1.6-1.75m) was rejected and it's been radio silence from us for the last 7-10 days. He's obviously getting twitchy that he'll get jack-all for him in the summer.

EDIT: Ferguson is still desperate to keep him, but MacAnthony is obviously the money man.

Think we may move for him again or that's that?

Back in with £1.2 - £1.3 take it or leave it.
And then sign him on a pre-contract in March.

Everything I hear is that it's done for now, but it's a dead cert in the close season.

They achieve nothing on the pitch but Posh are elite level when it comes to getting top dollar for their players. The Chesterfield lad they just signed will prob be off to championship in a year for 8million

I thought I read that Taylor had a contract to summer 2024, so would still command a fee in the summer. It would be lower than now, but would still be a decent amount. Have I got that wrong?
