A win tomorrow will be on a par with.... on 20:01 - Feb 17 by BanksterDebtSlave
Just a little bit meh! As da yoof might say.
Bit of an odd comparison. I rarely think ‘meh’ when we win. But conversely, a win doesn’t potentially change the lives of millions of people, some of whom are choosing between being warm or eating.
agreed, widely predicted, but we'll all feel incredibly relieved if it happens (and itfc/labour don't do the usual snatching defeat from the jaws of victory)

That's the point really...even if we win tomorrow I don't think I will be feeling too uplifted by it. And I don't believe a Starmer Labour party will be making much difference to the lives of the people you are thinking of.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

i'll be uplifted by both and both will make the situations better.
any slight ameliorations to people's finances that the tories have basically been forced into (their watered down windfall tax and price cap) by the opposition parties announcing them and the public liking them. there will be less foodbanks under starmer's (or anyone's) labour than sunak (or anyone's) tories
That’s more like a 0-0 draw. Better than a loss but ultimately not good enough by any objective measure. And probably leading to another 5 years in the third tier.
