Grass doesn't grow in temps lower than 12C? iirc. One of the advantages of living in the frozen North :)

A new record in the Forever household….The earliest first lawn cut of the year on 13:09 - Feb 19 with 928 views | DJR | I tend to take the view that cutting the lawn at this time of year only stimulates growth (perhaps a bit like cutting chest hairs), so I am holding out for a bit. Whether my view is actually true, I don't know, but with the lack of rain we've have, now would certainly be a good time to mow from a practical point of view, as I live on clay, which tends to get very muddy when it rains a lot.

A new record in the Forever household….The earliest first lawn cut of the year on 14:23 - Feb 19 with 754 views | BanksterDebtSlave | Saw the first leaf break on a hawthorn earlier this week. Things could well be about to get significantly colder btw(from next weekend). Lovely today though writing this while taking in some very warm sun in the garden.

Having said that, the summer about three years ago, then last year really screwed both my lawns. All i manage to do now is decapitate the weeds.
