Hirst had a good half there I thought, but difficult to disagree with you, Ladapo has been scoring goals lately. I just don't know what it is, but for all the toil, Hirst just never really looks like scoring, always a "nearly ran". | |

It's not working for Wes today is it. Nicky Forster saying his all round play has been excellent, but I'm not sure I've seen someone try to defend from the wrong side as often. And the less said about his final balls the better.
Chaplin's the only one of the front 4 today that's imposed himself on the game. I was hoping for more from Broadhead and Hirst. Neither showing that they should be starting ahead of the players whose positions they've taken.
At least we've got the goal, as I was starting to think it would be another one of those days where we struggle to score. |  |

Loads of people complaining that McKenna changes it too much. He doesn't change it at all and we are winning at half time and suddenly he should be making 3 changes.
At least the inconsistency is consistent.

It's the usual story, we are the better team by far and ought to be at least 2 in front at half time. Hirst just isn't doing it up front for reasons unknown, but he has done an awful lot of hounding the defenders and also a lot of work defensively from set pieces tbf, so he has made a good overall contribution, but I'd rather have someone up front who does nothing for 88 minutes and scores a couple of goals.
The standout issues for me in that half were Humphreys and Burns, Humph was all over the place, getting outmuscled, outpaced, out of position and not hitting passes, worst I've ever seen him play and Burns, well, horror show in every department. | |
