If we step back for a moment from the intriguing title race 09:06 - Apr 3 with 908 views | homer_123 | and think about what it is like to watch Town play. I think just about any football fan would appreciate watching us. The way KM has got us playing and has us set out, especially for a L1 side, is quite staggering really. Actually watching us play is simply enjoyable. A team that has an incredible work rate from every single player (no passengers), playing out from the back with each player being comfortable on the ball. Midfielder dropping deep to link up, attacking midfielders being able to find space, defenders who can start an attack from their own half - full backs with a license to get forward and support attacks. Using and keeping the ball, probing opponents - trying to stretch the play, create openings. Looking for overloads across the pitch to create attacking opportunities. When needed, counter attacking on the break with pace...the ability to be direct when needed. A team playing with confidence and freedom but working so hard for each other for the entire match. Defensively, we look solid but not at the expense of not being able to be progressive and forward thinking with the ball. Right now, over the past few weeks, the balance is perfect. If we think back to some of the football we watched under previous managers, it is night and day the difference - quite remarkable really. If you look at some of the football being played at a higher level than L1, I would offer that we play far better football than a lot of other teams do. That's not to say there is only one way to play football or that it should be only played one way but right now, what we see week after week is just brilliant. In short, regardless of anything else, when you watch Town play, home or away - it's enjoyable, it's great fun to watch us play again. It just so happens to be rather effective as well! If we step back for a moment from the intriguing title race on 09:30 - Apr 3 with 725 views | NthQldITFC | ITFC have put together a really good squad of players over the last couple of years, for which credit has to go to a number of people, perhaps a little even to some who are no longer here! What KMcK and team have done, on top of adding some dynamite quality in terms of additions, is very quickly and almost miraculously, produced a team and squad capable of playing consistently close to the top of their physical and mental capabilities, with a calmness and a robustness of confidence and belief in what they are doing. To do that within the framework of the brilliant, exciting, technical style of play you rightly rhapsodise about is a superb achievement.

If we step back for a moment from the intriguing title race on 09:31 - Apr 3 with 715 views | Vic | Totally agree. But fact remains that it’s not yet effective enough to get us top of the league or even in the PO places. As it stands, over the course of the season so far two other teams have been as effective as us. Sobering.

If we step back for a moment from the intriguing title race on 09:51 - Apr 3 with 615 views | LegendofthePhoenix | Just think back a few weeks to when we played Burnley. We hadn't even integrated Masimo, Harry, Nathan and George at that stage, and we were playing Vaclav in goal. It is clear as day how much we have improved since all these have been fully integrated and staring games. I would be intrigued to see how we would get on now against a top championship team, and think we would really test Burnley. even more than we did in January. This is state of the art football. Sure, there will be better players still at the very top level, but there is no doubt we are playing way above L1 level - both in terms of the team setup/tactics and the actual fitness and ability of the players. Having been watching Town since the late 60s, the style of play coupled with the ability in every position right up there with some of the greatest.
