I've put together a last couple of football/geography quizzes. They're both quick ones - the first allows for 2 minutes and 45 seconds to complete, with the second allowing for up to 3 minutes.
Despite what we may be shown on the local news, a small number of the clubs that get featured as part of our region are not within the statistical "East of England" area. This features six ceremonial counties, though I won't name them here. One of the nine clubs in this quiz is not currently in the Football League.
The South West region contains seven ceremonial counties, and one of the ten teams featured is located in an area that was historically part of Hampshire.

A perfect 9/9 on the East - although I did struggle with the fifth one down for a bit, but I put it on pause and went for a sit down on the toilet, and suddenly I worked that last one out. |  |

I was expecting them to be in there (alongside Rushden & Diamonds) but, despite the fact we often get both them and MK Dons mentioned on Look East, Northants is not considered part of the statistical East of England region.
To avoid any potential confusion, the six counties are Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, C********shire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I added asterisks to one of them as the name of the city of the team is in the county. | |

I can understand the easternmost parts of Hertfordshire being considered part of the East of England, but other parts probably don't feel like they should be. Then again, Northampton is perhaps as close to Wales as it is to Lowestoft but it gets a mention on Look East. I also feel like Watford is Greater London, but then Loughton and places like that are also within the M25 yet are part of Essex, even if they're completely different in character to the north of the county. What's a tad weird is that despite never hearing about Watford (understandably so) on the local news on TV, I remember seeing them included under the East region on the sport news section on Ceefax and the Red Button.
One of the counties (perhaps the only one) that is split between two regions is Lincolnshire: East Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber. I think that the northernmost part of Derbyshire is sometimes also included as part of "the North", with the rest within the Midlands. All a bit confusing. | |
