Would love a Hirst goal on Saturday.. love it 13:30 - Apr 21 with 1310 views | unstableblue | He's been very close in recent games, and the killer strike has just fallen short. I think if we can have him AND Broadhead going into the final push then its a game changer. Freddie struggled a little Tuesday, but I suppose that low block won't be experienced at Posh and Barnsley.

I'm sure, if fit, they both start tomorrow. Together with Chaplin and Burns we've got so much threat in that 'front 4'. Broadhead's a different gravy though isn't he? We've won the last 10 games he's started and he's shown a bit of everything. He's scoring goals and creating them, he can carry the ball, can pick a pass. Different types of goals from worldie freekicks and pressure penalties to intelligent runs in the box. He's such a quality footballer.

Does make you wonder why he never got a chance at Everton, it's not a if they are playing brilliant football and challenging for trophies with top notch players

He's the archetypal modern forward, can play anywhere across the front by the looks of it and he's a very well rounded footballer. Looks an absolute steal.

Absolutely, and a good age. Has Championship experience too, was it 5 goals in 10 or 11 games for a pony Wigan team which is a very tidy return. I know Sunderland fans were disappointed they didn't go back in for him. 100% a Championship footballer, a good one at that.

Think it was probably a bad club for him to be at really. They seem to hang on to young players for too long, some of which we've seen here in the past like Garbutt and Pennington who were still there at 25 and loaned out. There comes a point where you need to make a call and either give them a proper chance, or move them on permanently. Not helped at Everton by the uncertainty and amount of managerial change, they've had about 5 different managers since he made his debut 2 years ago. Premier League is obviously a big big step up, but I would agree I think if circumstances were different they might've had a manager that wanted a proper look at him. Still, it's our gain. He looks firmly ready for the Championship, I've no doubt about that from what I've seen of him. So might Everton be for that matter.

He’s absolute different gravy. I’m not sure if i can recall a like for like at PR in my time. His body shape whilst having complete control of the ball is unique. He’s leaning back and doesn’t look like he should have control. But because he’s leaning back he can see much more. He’s absolutely class. How on earth can we rate who is the best permanent January signing?! I’m classing Luongo as permanent.

I'm probably a lot older than you but when Paul Mariner signed it was obvious from the word go he was something special.... im getting a bit of a special vibe from NB to but if he turns out half as good he'll be a great player here!
