Question re: Spitgate 11:22 - Apr 24 with 1283 viewsDarth_Koont

Why did Burns cup his ears? No criticism as it’s pretty standard and the reaction was utterly ridiculous/criminal from the spitter.

But seemed to come out of the blue re: crowd noise. Unless Burns was getting abuse on the right touch line. Which makes him scoring and winding up those fans even funnier.

He was getting abuse when he was injured.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

Think he was getting some verbal for earlier challenges from their defender right at the start of the game .Think the crowd thought Wes was exaggerating stuff

To be fair, he probably was 😀

Spitting apart, it’s a great moment in the Town in 5 video to see the Posh fans going absolutely ballistic but with one or two of them seeing the funny side.

That said and I'm not sure if anything has been mentioned about this from Saturday's game and most recent games BUT how much better are we in using the dark arts ourselves !!??

At one point on Saturday when Peterborough gained a little momentum we had two players go down "injured" to break it up.We've had this done to us sooo many times this season it was great to see it being used ourselves , albeit when it's against us I bl00dy annoys me !

I'd hazard a guess that the one or two laughing/smiling were Town fans in the home stand.

I watched back the game with home commentary and their Co comm guy was saying that their fans got what was coming to them for booing Burns after his injury.

Hopefully we just ignore Mr Norwood tomorrow.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

Yes, he was down injured in front of them for a spell and they were booing and berating him, hence his reaction.
