Still can’t quite take it in. 19:07 - Apr 29 with 1258 views | tractordownsouth | Incredible. On the train back from Ipswich still in complete shock, even though we’d effectively been promoted by 3:30. I’ve never seen all four stands at Portman Road singing before, the atmosphere was brilliant. To have my two best days as a town fan four days apart has been a privilege. I was eight months old when we beat Barnsley at Wembley so like Rommers and a lot of our younger fans I’ve literally never seen us do anything good or memorable. Up until now, my favourite season had ended with defeat to Norwich in the playoffs. I know we’re only going back to the level we’ve spent most of the last 30 years at, but it does make a lot of the setbacks feel worth it today. The fact we’ve had some lows this year as well makes the outcome better too.I definitely didn’t think I’d be writing this post when I was sat at Didcot station waiting for delayed train back from Oxford away in the fog or after watching us fail to break down a Bristol Rovers team, play countless 5 yard passes across the backline and fall eight points behind the top two. I wasn’t at Charlton away but as another poster said, we can laugh about it now. In short, I’m delighted. This is a bloody good team and while I’m trying to stay grounded, it’s difficult not to get excited to think about what they could do in the next couple of years. COYB

Add a couple of quality additions and I really think we will be comfortable next season. What a time to be a town fan and glad you enjoyed today and Tuesday.
Still can’t quite take it in. on 19:11 - Apr 29 with 1184 views | hatch | I feel like I’ve been to so many cold horrible away midweek losses over the last 20 years. Lucky enough to start following around 1998 as a kid to be at Wembley but missed so much work to travel length and breadth of the country, particularly the last few years. Got norovirus this week and missed both games. Painful to watch on iFollow instead but what magical magical scenes they were. Hope everyone injected that into their veins and savours it. Special.

I was 9 when I watched us win the cup at Wembley and was able to enjoy the team during the early 80s and the 91/92, the Burley years and a couple of big ( but ultimately unsuccessful) pushes under Royle. But anyone under 25 has the MM playoff and maybe the League Cup run and naff all else. Enjoy it young'en. Hope there's more to come.

I’ve had the Robson years, the 2000 play off etc, now it’s the younger generations time. This guy seriously knows what he’s doing so there’s plenty more to look forward to I think. Was following it all closely whilst doing chores and was halfway through a car wash believe it or not when the twitter vids of the coach welcome came through. Got me blubbing to see that a new generation had really taken the club to its heart again. Goood time only from here on in.

Yep, crazy how much it turned round. Wonder what odds you’d have got on us getting 40 points from 42 from that point?
