Great fight back from missing a pen then going 0 - 2 down, Cam Humphreys showed he is a real first team prospect, Leif dead ball delivery class, Nathan Broadhead showed all round class.

Whilst I don't normally think football is defined by singular moments over a season, Smith missing that chance to put Wednesday 3-0 up is the difference between 2nd and 3rd.
There is something about Barrybannan that annoys me intensely and unreasonably. I think it is that he does not look like a footballer. He is, obviously, and quite a good one at that. It's just that the wizened little runt looks like he should be watching the game from the family section with his grand-children, not playing it.

I've thought the same and it felt it at the time (the feeling that hope didn't die today, I should qualify, not they're now ours for the taking!).
My counter to myself is: Wednesday resumed their winning run afterwards, we followed this with the lowest moment in our season (BR 0-0, Morsy fallout, briefly dropping to 4th, hope did die that day!), and Fleetwood away is different without the Exeter celebrations. Whether their faltering was impacted by external pressure can't be known, only that we didn't block the rearview mirror until halfway through their problem patch. No question though, Smith's miss was huge.

I drunk far too much this game and completely can't remember a single phase of play other than the four goals and the pen miss. No idea how we played or who played well to this day.

The lad volunteering to be 4th official when the ref went off with a hamstring injury was pivotal I reckon.
