I lived in Stoke in the mid 90s while I was at Staffs Uni.
I actually quite enjoyed it in a down-to-earth (almost) northern kind of way. |
Took the train to Stoke in the late 80’s for an open day when I was trying to decide on uni.
As I was leaving the train station it was cold, wet, dirty and so, so grey.
I turned round, sat on the platform and waited for the train back to Ipswich.
