For a biggish traditional old club they are not well attended at home, either. Last season their average home crowd was below 15,000, 18th in the Championship attendance table.
I don’t really like the scoffing at how many fans clubs take away, let’s not turn into insufferable Leeds.
It’s a long way, in a cost of living crisis and if the last time I went to Blackburn is anything to go by it’s probably a community that’s hit as bad as anywhere.
Good on the 800 that have made it, but I hope they go home empty handed.

It’s a s5itter of a journey. Went there early in the 91-92 season. Probably no more than 500 Town fans there.

Ah yes... the free run of the terraces to charge about and go mental in if you scored TWTD!
Good defence that for Rovers in the second tier. Kevin Moran, Colin Hendry & David May.
I was about to say the yoof of today will never know the pure joy of bundling down a terrace, but then remembered we had the pleasure recently of Accrington and other L1 delights.
A youthful me makes an appearance on the Blackburn fencd around the 46-second mark. TWTD!

I miss those days of being able to run around the terrace like a loon. That was only on away matches though. I don’t miss being crushed up against those square iron bars they had. A bloody stupid design that was (at least for the poor sods up against them).
