And here's a thing. The Sunderland fans thinks THEY have the 'finest football team the world has ever seen'.

Amazing how deluded some fans are.

Maybe they do, and spare a thought for new Sunderland supporters from out of town who get the wrong Stadium of Light on their GPS and end up in Lisbon having to watch Benfica before finishing off with a late night meal and port (wot, no stilton!) before waking up to sunshine the next morning in an antique room that they got for twenty five quid instead of North East coast squalls and the security that you must be in the best place because your hotel was two hundred and fifty quid...

Do you reckon anyone has ever booked a trip to see Benfica and accidentally ended up in Sunderland? Imagine the faces with the slow realisation that their planned pastel de nata and €2 Super bock in the cobbled streets of largo da se are replaced by the prospect of a greggs bake and warm can of Carling on a park bench in Sunderland.

There is the true story from years ago of a lorry driver who brought a load from Turkey to Gibraltar Point in Lincolnshire. He should have been in Gibraltar.

Having watched this game the other night it made me really appreciate just what a brilliant set we have at Town these days snd the team we have, frankly now, looks streets ahead of either of these two sides. Wednesday are League One bound in my view. They actually look devoid of any quality, togetherness, or know how. Sunderland are young and energetic snd done really good players, but I think Town are better ( I would I s’ppose) but time will be the eventual judge.

Impartially I felt Sunderland looked very very good, though Wednesday were abject.

The only Muff in Town.
