If we are winning in a home game 18:18 - Oct 7 with 2081 viewstextbackup

You watch how many times the ball boys/girls chuck the spare ball to one of our players, and the other ends up on the pitch causing a slight delay 😎

Every last detail is being looked at by the management team, love that.

Noticed on Twitter a few PNE fans picked up on the fact our players all run off at half time while their players walked off head down. Little things like that all make a difference in mentality and attitude. Whatever happens on this journey, we are no longer mugs anymore.

We actually spotted that against Hull. A good half played, everyone except Vlad, dashed off the pitch at the whistle. Must make the opposition wonder what the hell is going on!

I've been banging on about the ball kids for years! To be fair, having to be that close up through some of the Evans years would probably have turned them off football for life, now they're being included as part of The Team. As you say, minor detail, been overlooked for so long, but can give us a slight gain when needed. Love it.

I’m sure Phil will be along shortly to point me in the right direction - but I’m sure McKenna said recently that he only ever said that on his first day but now the players manage it themselves and hold each other accountable. None of the players brought in since McKenna took the job have been told to do it - they just follow the lead of the others.

That’s happening at all games, irrespective of who’s leading. It’s a stupid idea.

I noticed that a few games into the season and thought it was brilliant, winning or losing , running in showing we’re up for it!

McKenna spoke about it after the Hull Game…

The Town manager was quizzed on his players running off the field with purpose at half-time, while Hull trooped off somewhat disconsolately. Is that a conscious thing?

“It’s something that we spoke about early in my time here,” he said. “But the players have really taken it on. It’s not like we speak about it all the time, it’s something that we spoke about, but there might only be 60 or 70 per cent of the team here now that was here then.

“They’ve really taken that on and driven it, and body language is important, of course, and showing that we’re feeling good and our fitness levels are there and we’re going to be ready to come out strong for the second half is important.

“It’s something that we spoke about quite a long time ago but the players, like they do with a lot of things here, have really taken it on and pushed that standard themselves.”
