I'll go against the grain and offer a defence here. Eustace was doing very well but Birmingham under him were the best of the 'defence first' sides. The ownership spent good money over the summer and want to implement an attacking approach instead. Hopefully pragmatism forced Eustace's hand and the squad isn't there to make that transition this season, which knocks out one of the chasing pack, but Birmingham have the resources to do this successfully in the medium term. No idea if Wayne is the man to deliver this mind you! | | | |
