Anyway, Rotherham 16:46 - Nov 6 with 1522 viewsIllinoisblue

Imagine a win there to put us 1 (one) point behind the “runaway leaders” after a third of the season. Any kind of win tomorrow would be utterly magnificent. Seems absurd to even hint at criticism after this start but we’re maybe due a great performance after some (very slight) wobbles the last few games. COYB

And 10 points clear of dirty Leeds.

I'm really hoping Illy that the superb second comeback against Brum, is the pivot back to some strong form, after struggling a little at Ashton gate, at home to Plymouth and the first half at St Andrews (seems weird critiquing those three games when we returned 7 points, but that's the difference with McKenna, we focus on performance, entertainment and results).

I do think the bench are starting to push the first team with Harness pressuring Broadhead and Taylor pushing Luongo.

It will be physical and aerial tomorrow.. so Burgess and Clarke may be well suited.

Expecting a strong display from Morsy.

6 points from the next two would be huge, ahead of the break.

If we win tomorrow I'll have a right stiffy tbh. 10 points clear of 3rd having played the same amount of games, 1/3 through the season and Swansea at home left before the next international 'check point'.

Certainly feels like a big game (aren't they all). Not least to just keep the locals restless at Bellend Road and St Mary's. A defeat or 2 and they'll soon get tetchy again if they're looking at a double digit gap to the automatics.

Leicester go to Boro on Saturday as well

The Saints form is a little concerning, but again they entertain in form West Brom on Saturday.

Tough one for KM to think about tomorrow.

It's clear we aren't at the racers recently in comparison to previous performances.

Now.. again. If the previous performances are our baseline this season.. he needs to work out how to get back to it.. is it fatigue. Illnesses etc. He'll know.

Or is it genuine we are now approaching our normal season which isn't as wonderful as the previous performances.. but still high quality and competitive champ fixtures where we graft hard and get results.

Only KM knows what he expects. And I guess we will see it tomorrow. Imo if he's wanting to see us perform better again. There will be changes you'd imagine.

If he's happy with what he's seeing then I don't see any changes other than williams if fit.

a niche perspective

Disappointing that Southampton grabbed an injury time winner at the weekend. Again.
