Still a passing game but a greater willingness to hit Hirst quicker or get it out to Hutchinson. Nice to see the patterns evolving and tailoring our game a little to our opponents. The difference berween McKenna and Lambert or Cook is night and day. I shudder when I recall the farce of Lambert and his splitting centre backs of his first few games!!!! |  |

It is what we’ll need to do more often as many teams will now try and press up hard and high up the pitch. I think this could play to Hirst’s strengths actually, as he seem decent with the ball over the top. He is fast enough and strong enough to trouble most centre backs. |  |

As you say, we're ready to do that early in games as appropriate and then suck the opposition on again when the sting's gone out of them. |  |
