Is it only me who can’t get that excited about ‘Richard Chaplow Day’? 18:23 - Dec 12 with 1514 viewsunstableblue

Stuart Watson is obsessed:

Look it was an important win for the season, and I guess that combined with scoring a last minute winner in front of a large away, means it’s great. Don’t get me wrong.

But it was a turgid game, a 0-0 score line was what it deserved.

Just thinking of the away displays and goals we’ve had under McKenna… everything about them is memorable.

Or am I just being a group old (McKenna obsessed) git?

It was class. Limbs and scenes in the away end, inflatables, great bantz with Chris Kamara. Proper away day.

It was great at the time but a little embarrassing it’s become such a thing.

It is a little embarassing.. match reports describe a boring game

Just think of the away days we’ve had under McKenna

Nice to look back on that day. The game was turgid with absolutely no action at either end until the 94th minute. Absolute limbs. Not sure it deserves to have a name to remember it by

And ended, if I remember rightly, a proper turgid record against Watford, when they really were a bogey team. Significant game in many ways and I'll never get tired of watching the limbs and Chaplow diving to the floor.

Were you there? It's just one of those moments you were glad to be there for. I don't actually remember the game itself, but I vividly remember the break away and what seemed to be forever until it went in... then of course the limbs.

It's almost sweeter if it happens at the end of a turgid 0-0 IMO.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Remember it being absolute bedlam, the like I've not seen too many of as a town fan, particularly during that period
