Presuming therefore 2.03 ppg next season, that would give us 77/78 points. Not enough to trouble Manchester City, but probably enough for Champions League football.

Hmmm, your math isn't mathing for me...

The first assumes 2 points down and 2 defeats up each year. Then it is translated into 38 games

The second assumes a percentage decrease and increase each year. When rounded, this gives different figures across 46 games. But is the same across 38 games.

2024/2025 - 78 points and 7 defeats

Edit: Could also be an exponential decrease. I'm not sure how to math that.
