"15 minimum major infrastructure projects" that are minimum requirements for the Premier League and will cost "several million"

This was the bit that caught my attention, "I'm going to have to come and talk to the fans about some that over the next couple of weeks"

Could be well wide of the mark, but the only thing I can think that they would need to 'talk to us' about is moving the away fans.

I don't think the away fans will move, but we need to accommodate another ~1,000 away supporters.

Premier League requirements are 10% or 3,000 (whichever is lower) and currently Block V1/V2/S only holds about 2,000.

Still don’t get this issue with moving away fans, we sit SAR Upper and it’s fine for us .

The media requirements for the Prem are really significant and the current press gantry may not meet this. This would impact fewer current season ticket holders than moving the away fans but might have to happen if a new press location is needed.

Is there any way to segregate sections of Sir Alf stand and have away fans in there, top and bottom? Seems like that would be a logistical nightmare. I recall West Ham in there for playoff game, not sure how that was handled. It seems to work at Man City but no idea how their away end is configured.

Ashton’s comment about needing to talk to the fans had strong “you’re not going to want to hear this” vibes.

IMO it will be some supporters in the Cobbold Stand that need to move (to accommodate approx. 1,000 extra away supporters) and maybe some in the West Stand (to accommodate extra media requirements)

Takes me back to one or two 'we need to talk' texts.

Not going to be easy to find an ideal home for them though given how popular seats are.

Could additionally mean that some seats around the stadium have to come out to make way for permanent camera positions in the lower tiers.
