I think you are way short. I agree with Joe much more likely nearer 50k+
I doubt there are many players in the PL on contracts much less than 30k excluding players that have just been promoted. |  |

As has been said before when Jordan Rhodes went to Boro he was on £30k because he demanded it as that was the going rate for a PL player (and Boro were heading for promotion to the PL) and that is going back years. Players earn a lot more now. |  | | |

I'm sure that most of the squad know that this has to happen - they may be on £10k-£15k a week, but the players coming in will be on 2,3 or even 4 times that.
I hope some of the players don't resent this, and it starts to affect team moral. I would hope that it's something that managment have sat down and discussed with them, to head it off at the pass, so to speak. |  |

I honestly think with the group we’ve got they’ll all just consider themselves doing very nicely on what they are on and we don’t have the sort of characters that get bothered about what others are earning.

This may well get downvoted, but the thing I find strange is that many footballers get paid much more than many CEOs but they never seem to get the same criticism for what they are paid as people who have far greater responsibilities.
EDIT: in 2022, the average FTSE 100 CEO salary was £3.91 million.
If Omari is paid £50,000 a week, he will be on £2.6 million.
