Once you get beyond the initial sharp intake of breath at a fee we really aren't used to; we have got an excellent deal there in my opinion. The profile of player that could easily be worth treble what we've paid this time in 2 years if we:

a) Stay up
b) He does even modestly well (say 8/9 goals and a similar number of assists) for two seasons

We know exactly what we are getting with him - his attitude/character, his strengths/weaknesses, his popularity in the dressing room, already drilled into the way we play and fits our style. And I'd argue most importantly, we know his capacity to improve. Not sure I have ever seen an ITFC player develop quite so much over 6 months. I genuinely think he can be whatever he wants to be and just like McKenna will go to the very top.

when you secure champions league qualification I expect his value will rocket into the £100m's but he will not want to leave

I think it’s phenomenal business to get him back here. Genuinely thought after his goals at Hull there would be mid tier prem clubs sniffing around ready to take a punt on him.

I'm sort of gutted we didn't win that game because it really was a big coming out game for Omari and he deserved to win it for us. He was unplayable. That 2nd half the Hull defenders were completely lost playing vs him.

But I guess drawing that game allowed us to confirm it at PR.

In particular there was a 20 min spell in that game which I think was the best i've seen from an individual Ipswich player for years. Hulls left back was begging for mercy at one point.

You think he would've wanted to step down to a mid-tier prem club after playing for us?
