is making me raise a rye smile, as they're pretty much talking about our approach as the solution (without naming us, obviously). Being braver on the ball, knowing your roles so you don't compete with team mates in the same spaces, keeping natural width, not necessarily having a back 3 but transitioning to a back three in possession with one full back stepping up (trippier/Davis) to provide the width while one of the front three (Foden/Broady) comes inside, trusting the players, better use of subs to inject energy later on, etc.

KM's the greatest manager England have never had by the sounds of it. I'm glad he's not England's manager, but the conversation has given me some reassurance that we could well be ok next season.

Oh, and Pat Nevin is probably one of the most underrated pundits on TV.
