Pleased for England of course with tonight’s victory, but by Christ this tournament has to go down as one of the dullest competitions in recent history. I’ve watched most of the games and I can probably count on one hand the amount of decent and entertaining matches there has been. We’re meant to be seeing the cream of European football on display and to say it is underwhelming is a huge understatement.

Makes me wonder though, World Cups are always better, so much more going on.
And at these tournaments theres always some teams that shine and turn up every game like Spain.

Dunno, think people get lost in nostalgia, even only going back a few years. There have been a mix of great and dull games this tournament like there is at every one but when people look back they only remember the good ones. |  |

I think Turkey vs Georgia in the group games was the best I've seen so far. Both teams going at it, couple of world class goals to enjoy. Real end to end stuff. | |

To be fair it was predicted a few years ago by a few mgrs, that as you increase the number of clubs involved in European football competitions & the number of teams in international football, ultimately burn out will happen with some players and the excitement/entertainment will drop.
It started to show itself at the last Euros and this time similar, some entertainment in the group games but then it's slowly declined, even Spain were lethargic against Germany. France are playing like it's a practice match with the aim of the defenders keep the ball in their own half and don't let the forwards have it. |  | | |
