Not sure that it matters if it worked or not. She obviously had someone in mind and it gave her comfort that that person wouldn't be there enjoying themselves at her expense. Maybe it was a simple instruction for the person writing the invites not to invite someone that she didn't like. That's probably more like it. |  |

I’m guessing that she cared who could, or could not attend, as that was one thing which she still had control over. She had absolutely no control over the cancer that ultimately killed her and so maybe that list was a way that she didn’t feel completely helpless. |  | |  |
