With the SS transfer saga ongoing it feels increasingly like a missed opportunity not to get O'Hare on a free. Quality quality player.
If we get SS and a left sider in soon then all good of course. Just like the fact we could have had o'hare in the building weeks back, free and with a decent re-sale or long term future for us.
Ashton and co have such a difficult job and I'm sure they looked at him with McKenna and decided against so not a criticism as such. I'd have liked everything about that transfer though |  |

Lots rumoured. Seemed nailed on early doors he was going to either Villa or Leicester. A lot of Cov fans were unhappy he was likely going to Leicester. Suspect Sheffield United have gone big on wages with the parachute payments. Think everyone is shocked he is staying in the champ particularly as Cov will have a big go at the championship themselves. | |

It seems strange that Coventry sold, but I guess money turns the head of players (I assume Sheff U have offered a higher wage, as they can afford to). Coventry also seem to be having to sell each season. Not that I know much about their finances, but most Championship clubs need to sell to cover operating losses. |  |

Coventry are cash rich and spending a lot. They will also get another windfall from Gyokeres sale this Summer (best part of £8 mil).
O'Hare was out of contract and hence amazed ending up still in champ. A stand out Champ player albeit who has come back from a longish injury but was back playing regularly and very very well | |

They’ve also nabbed Thomas-Asante from West Brom which feels a coup from a promotion rival (doubly so given that WBA’s replacement is Devante Cole who’s largely a lower league journeyman). Cole probably will get goals if fed right, the thing which surprised me when we played him was he wasn't actually that fast, he was more physical than fast which might be why it's taken him a while to reach the Championship
