That performance had everything needed to get results in this league, determination, organisation and some excellent phases of attacking plays.

Phillips - some glimpses of the old Phillips today, that defence splitting pass to Ogdene is what he was known for and went missing when pep made him pass sideways, it will be exciting seeing him with Morsy going forwards.

Loved the way we managed the game today, high press to start and having control of the ball ourselves, but knowing we couldn't keep this up ala liverpool if we kept going, so we conceded control, however we kept organised and whilst Fulham had a few chances, we managed it really well, the goal conceded was gutting but the ball itself drops in that specific area only once in 10 passes imo.

Really chuffed with todays performance. I do hope Hirst is back soon as we did miss that powerhouse uptop when delap went off.

Delap. im saying it now. we've got the next Harry Kane on our books.

Ogdene, he has pace, didn't see much technical ability so if we are to utilise him, i think we need to ping some balls over the top for him.

Defence played really well, I think I can see why KM has brought in O shea, i do wonder if we might see an O shea, Wolfy and Greaves back three.

Muric, you could tell there were some groans in the stands, even on tv you could see and hear them when he didn't come for things, however I felt he really had an assured game today and was much calmer today, we need to do better in our wide areas to give him an out ball though, sometimes he's just got pockets to pass into which doesn't help.

Hutchinson, well hes just excellent isn't he, think once he gets playing more and more games like last season he'll be finishing off runs for fun.

Szmodics, amazing job of protecting Davis but also being there for Delap, never knew he had such an engine on him.

Morsy, well nuff said, it's Morsy. lol

The competition in midfield now is a delight, Cajuste looks like a thoroughbred when he glides forward with the ball. Such a strong, reassuring, performance all round today. A late winner would have been thoroughly deserved.

Very good summary that, in my opinion. As you say the game management in distinct phases in the first half was good (even if at times we looked a bit too deep) but that's what allowed us to dominate the second half.

Delap is a superb acquisition, nothing like Harry Kane stylistically of course, but he is already looking Premier quality, and he'll only get better in the next few months.

As you say Szmodics did lots of fantastic work in all aspects of the game today.

Hutch found his confidence at half time. I think the first two and a half games he's not been quite sure that he can skin everybody like he did in the Championship - well now he knows he can.

The two centre backs - confident and assured.

Leif bombing on a few times, yes he can still do it at the top level.

Everybody else did well too.
